Welcome to my blog, Neomantra.org. In the real world I go by Justin Kirby and work as a bioinformatics analyst focused on helping researchers in the field of radiology utilize open source software to achieve their scientific objectives. The intent of this blog is to provide its visitors with my spin on the world as it relates to technology, music, beer (homebrewing), science and politics. I’ve been getting more involved in open source software recently, and the KDE community in particular recently so I expect a large number of posts will be dedicated to my work there as I continue to contribute. Also be sure to check out the beer section of the site as it has tons of information about all of the various recipes I’ve been cooking up. If you live nearby and ask nicely I might even share a few bottles with you sometime!
